Cookie policy

This policy is provided pursuant to Article 13 of EU Regulation 2016/679 (“GDPR”) to those who access and browse the website below:
www.adr.it
(the “Website”)
in order to inform users of the types of cookies used by the Website, the relative methods of removal and deactivation of the same as well as the rights that can be exercised under the GDPR.

1.      WHO IS THE DATA CONTROLLER?
ADR S.p.A., with registered office in Via Pier Paolo Racchetti n. 1, Fiumicino, 00054, is the data controller of your personal data (“ADR” or “Data Controller”).

2.     WHAT ARE COOKIES?
Cookies are text files containing information that are stored on your terminal (i.e., computer, tablet or smartphone) every time you visit a website through a browser.
The information encoded in the cookies may also include personal data; in particular, the IP address from which the connection is made, a username, an email address or a unique identifier.

3.     WHAT TYPES OF COOKIES DO WE USE?
We use session cookies which are automatically deleted from the device after browsing the Website and permanent cookies which remain stored on your terminal even after the session has ended.
ADR uses first-party cookies (i.e., with the same domain as the Website) and so-called cookies. third party, which originate from other websites that we host within our website.
Firstly, ADR uses technical cookies - the installation of which does not require your consent - in order to guarantee the correct functionality of the Website, provide users with the requested services and keep track of the consent to the installation of the types of cookies that require.
Furthermore, ADR uses analytical cookies in order to compile statistics and understand the ways in which the Website is used by users. The use of analytical cookies is equated to technical cookies if:

(i) they are used solely to produce aggregate statistics and in relation to a single site or a single mobile application;

(ii) for those of third parties, at least the fourth component of the IP address is masked;

(iii) third parties refrain from combining the analytical cookies, thus minimized, with other processing (customer files or statistics of visits to other sites, for example) or from transmitting them to other third parties. However, third parties are allowed to produce statistics with data relating to multiple domains, websites or apps that can be traced back to the same publisher or business group.

Specifically, ADR uses “Google Analytics” analytical cookies in order to monitor and verify the use of the Website by users. Thanks to Google Analytics, ADR is able to know the “traffic” on its website, the number of times the user opens a multimedia content - both audio and video - the number of people who view and close it before it is finished.

The solution provided by Google Analytics partially obscures the IP address of the device from which the connection is made and allows only aggregated data to be obtained in order to perform statistical analyses of the Website's performance. At the same time, Google Analytics is activated depending on your willingness to consent to the processing, as it may involve the transfer of personal data outside the European Economic Area.

Lastly, again on the basis of the user’s consent, ADR may also install profiling cookies on his device, which are essential for analysing the profile, behaviour and actions of those who browse the Website. This type of cookie allows you to collect information about users in order to send them promotional communications of their own interest.
Profiling cookies can be activated when you access the Website through the appropriate dashboard for managing your preferences accessible from the information banner and, in the same way, they can be disabled at any time.
In addition, the Website incorporates and gives you the possibility to view videos and multimedia contents (i.e., “embed”) located on third-party platforms. In this regard, the Website uses players made available by YouTube. By clicking on the video, playback starts and, at the same time, third-party cookies are installed on your device. For more information on these tools, please consult the Google policy available at: https://policies.google.com/privacy.
In any case, to ensure you have full choice about the use or not of these technologies and cookies, in correspondence with the video - unless you have previously accepted the use of all cookies or this specification technology (in this case, the video will be played automatically) - by default you will see a warning that warns you about the use of these tools and gives you the possibility to activate this “embed” video playback feature and to accept the installation of related cookies. On the contrary, if you do not intend to allow us to use this technology, you will still be able to view the video by redirecting on the portal where this is available. In this regard, we point out that, in this case, the use of cookies and, in general, the processing of information referable to you will be subject to the conditions and policies that will be made by the owner of the relevant platform/portal.
