The new Vax&Go vaccination point for departing, transit and arriving passengers and airport operators, set up by ADR in cooperation with Regione Lazio and the Spallanzani Institute, is now open in Fiumicino's Terminal 1 Departures lounge, in addition to the health hub that has been in operation since 11th February 2021 at the airport's Long Stay car park, the Covid-19 testing centre at Terminal 3 arrivals, which has been operational for almost a year, and the testing facilities at the boarding gates reserved for passengers travelling on Covid-tested flights. The new facility operates 7 days a week from 8.00am to 7.00pm and stocks both Pfizer and Moderna mRNA vaccines.

The offer of vaccines in the terminal to protect against Covid-19 is intended for passengers departing from, transiting and arriving at Fiumicino Airport, with travel documents and either a health card or vaccine reservation form for another vaccination centre, who are travelling and want to take their first, second or third booster dose of the vaccine directly at the airport, or for those who wish to be vaccinated with the Johnson&Johnson single dose vaccine, without having to book or register in advance. Airport workers with a special pass will also have access to the vaccination centre in the terminal, just as they already have access to the vaccination hub at the Long Stay car park.
