ADR: Rome Fiumicino Airport’s new Solar Farm unveiled 55,000 silicon panels make up the biggest airport photovoltaic system in Europe, among the largest in the world.

The system, designed by ADR and built by Enel, will have a power of 22 MWp, which will increase to 60 MWp with the integration of other structures over the next few years, reaching a capacity sufficient for the annual energy needs of 30,000 Italian households. 11,000 tons of CO2 saved per year immediately cut, in line with the Net Zero Carbon goal set for 2030.
